On Tuesday 7th July Inventure will be running the BUSINESS BARGE whereby we will be running our free business networking event on a canal boat on the Leeds canal!
This event (as with all our events) is open to *anyone* interested in business. lots of the people that come to our events already run very successful businesses, some are just starting out and are in the start-up/funding stage, and some simply come along because they like the idea of starting a business one day.
Inventure is different to a lot of other more traditional networking events because the events are all free, and very informal and relaxed. We find that not only does this help you meet a very cool bunch of entreprenerial individuals, but also means you can have a load of fun whilst doing so - and yes its free... no strings attached... no hidden agendas!
And if all that isnt enough for you - then we'll be giving out free drinks to everyone on the boat too. Wahey!
We have 40 places available, and we estimate these free tickets will disspear quite quickly! To get involved:
Anyone who isnt fast enough to get a ticket will be put onto a waiting list (tickets will be first come firdt served)
To start off the event everyone will be meeting at the Cross Quays Pub (http://www.the-crosskeys.com/home.php) at 6:00pm. From there we will all walk down (5 min walk) to the canal boat which will be leaving at 7:30pm. For those who cant make it to the pub before hand and want to meet directly at the boat you can meet us directly at the boat at 7:30 (for a map see http://www.tripboat.co.uk/location.html)
The boat trip will last about 2 hours in total, then everyone will head back to the cross quays afterwards for further networking.
The elegant Cross Keys is situated in the heart of Holbeck Urban village, a few minutes from the Leeds railway station in a delightful two hundred year old inn. Customers love its old world charm complete with brick walls, beamed ceilings, open fires and an outdoor courtyard to relax in during the long summer months.
The gastropub serves traditional British food made whenever possible from locally sourced and ethically produced ingredients. Pop in for a quick lunch, a leisurely dinner spread over the whole evening or a Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
A full pork loin with crackling for you to carve at the table, and apple sauce, is a great idea for catching up with friends. There is an ever changing selection of real ales, bottled beers, carefully chosen wines as well as fair trade teas and coffees to perk you up.
The James Watt Room, with AV facilities and a private bar is available to hire for corporate events, business meetings and wedding receptions.
